Logistics & Fleet Manager - Dump Truck & Civil Construction

Pittsburg, KS

Building the Future of Our Trucking Division Are you ready to be the engine behind a growing fleet in Pittsburg, KS?

At our core, we are a 100% Woman-Owned, DBE-Certified powerhouse in the civil construction industry. We operate with the speed of a startup and the heart of a family, but we provide the Fortune 500-level benefits usually reserved for corporate giants.

We are looking for a high-impact Logistics & Fleet Manager—someone who doesn't just "manage" trucks but builds the revenue systems that keep them moving. If you’re a disciplined "hustler" who thrives on autonomy and wants to take a company to the next level, your seat is at our table.

The Opportunity: Why This Role Matters This isn't a "clock-in, clock-out" position. We are looking for a trustworthy, self-directed professional to own the end dump and dump truck side of our business. You will be the central nervous system of our trucking division, coordinating our fleet and ensuring our drivers are optimized, safe, and supported.

What You’ll Bring to the Team

  • The "Hustle" Factor (Load Acquisition): You are a natural self-starter and a hunter. You will proactively go out and broker loads, negotiate the best rates, and identify new opportunities to ensure we are getting the most money out of every mile we haul.
  • Revenue & Billing Mastery: You own the paperwork. You will verify all scale tickets and load logs, ensuring 100% accuracy before handing them off to our accountant for invoicing. You understand that a job isn't finished until the value is captured.
  • Asset Oversight: You will monitor GPS tracking and equipment tools to maintain total visibility over our fleet and vehicle performance.
  • Strategic Collaboration: You will work hand-in-hand with our Lead Mechanic and Trucking Foreman to manage equipment maintenance schedules and ensure our "tools" are always road-ready.
  • Integrity & Trust: You are the person we can count on to run the show with total transparency, dedication, and a focus on the bottom line.

A Culture of Support & Excellence We work as a team—100% of the time. We are a close-knit, "family-first" environment where your voice is heard. Because we value our people, we offer an industry-leading benefits package:

  • Elite Health Coverage: Comprehensive Medical, Dental, and Vision plans.
  • Future-Focused: 401(k) retirement plan.
  • Comprehensive Protection: Life insurance and Legal coverage.
  • Stability & Growth: The security of a well-established firm with the upward mobility of a growing division.

Qualifications & Expectations

  • Experience: 3–5+ years in logistics, dispatching, or freight brokering within the construction or trucking industry.
  • Equipment Knowledge: Firm understanding of dump truck and end dump operations.
  • Financial Literacy: Experience with billing, invoicing, and verifying documentation for accounting.
  • Regulatory Knowledge: Firm understanding of DOT regulations, HOS, and safety standards.
  • Tech Savvy: Proficiency with GPS monitoring, fleet maintenance software, and logistics tools.
